Smoke House Deli organized their Grill and Beer Cocktails fest from Mid September 2018 to Mid October 2018. It was an affair with some delish food combining with the latest trend of beer cocktails.
My weekend lunch started with a warm welcome from the staff. Smoke House Deli always leave you surprised by their quirky setup be it the outlet of any city. The bartender presented us some incredible combinations of cocktails. The blend of all the mixes was praiseworthy. The key ingredient being Kingfisher Ultra, each one had a unique kick.
My favourite ones have to be the Pineapeno which was a blend of fresh jalapenos along with beer. The overall taste gave a tinge of spice to the drink. The other best out of the lot was Season’s Blush and Citric Zing.
Season’s Blush was a pretty drink with vodka, rosemary, and fresh orange. Citric Zing, on the other hand, combined lemongrass with kaffir lime and lime juice. The latter was surely a fresh breeze to the whole experience.
From The Grill
The grill festival offers 100°C goodness with its some 9 odd dishes on the menu. The dishes vary from a salad, appetizers and moving onto the main course. The main course menu curated is a meat lover heaven with the choice of chicken, lamb, pork and even beef.
Our meal started with Salad on the Grilled menu – Burrata Salad with Hazelnut Parmesan Crust with Mixed Fruit Jam. The salad was just marvellous. The jam just complimented the whole dish with the crunch of the bread along with cheesy burrata in the middle.
The appetizers started with a Cottage Cheese Skewers for the vegetarian and Lebanese Style Grilled Chicken for the nonvegetarians. The garlic sauce in the former was delicious. The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly and the pickled olives added a sour tinge which went well.
The star dish was the Stuffed Garlic Bread with Smoke cheese. Oozing out cheese was appetizing and the garnish of pesto sauce with spices was just wow.
The next dish I tried was the Grilled Lamb Chops. The lamb chops were juicy and cooked to perfection. It was combined with spicy chickpeas which added a crunch to the dish.
Chicken is my favourite and the Smoked Half Roasted Chicken is the just the answer to it. The leg and a breast piece marinated well to give the smoky flavour were combined with a side of garlic sauce and potato onion pudding. The onion pudding was just delicious.
The seafood section has the marinated scampi with crab rice which is a cherry on the cake. The crab rice has the consistency of a creamy thick sauce. The herb marinated pork chops with cauliflower puree was the last meal of the day. The puree was perfect though I found the pork chops a little salty to my liking.
Smoke House Deli never fails to surprise with their perfect dishes and commendable service. A perfect place to hang out with friends and family!
