Hawker’s Brunch at 421 Feet HIGH

Brunches are my favourite Waking up late and then heading up for a meal of a lifetime is a heaven-sent concept for me. The idea of having brunch at the tallest lounge in South India is a cherry on the top. A grand meal at a height of 421ft is surely a treat.

High Ultra Lounge organizes Hawker’s Brunch every Sunday 12:30 pm onwards. This brunch mainly focuses on Indo- Asian delicacies.

High is situated in Brigade gateway and is a property of Sheraton Grand. It is located on the 31st floor of World Trade Centre, Bangalore. The view is a treat for eyes for sure.

My brunch started with a nice refreshing welcome drink while I took a tour of the place. There are live counters for various Asian appetizers beside the bar. The outdoor rooftop section is elegantly constructed with subtle colors.

Live Counters

I decided to hop on the live counters where Okonomiyaki attracted me a lot. It is a Japanese savoury pancake made with a variety of ingredients. It was my first try and a new flavour to the palette.

Furthermore, we had some freshly made rice paper roll which is a Vietnamese delicacy. Sushi is my favourite of all Asian delicacies and it was sure not to miss on that.

We had some Rainbow Maki with Salmon and Tuna and their signature sushi – Spider Maki with Shell Crab. Spider Maki is a totally different kind of roll which included breaded soft shell crab.

While on the side, the bartender was providing their excellent cocktails according to the choice of base.

The starters from the kitchen included dishes from all across Asia. Grilled Pork with Kimchi sauce was one one of the best pork belly dishes. The Aromatic Roasted chicken was well cooked the sauce complimented the whole taste well.

The vegetarian starters included the Sesame Cheese roll with a strawberry hint. The sweet corn roasted with sweet butter and spices just made it a wholesome dish.

The dumplings basked included the mix of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. I personally liked the Chicken Gyoza – a mix of chicken and mushroom and Pork Prawn Suimui – a mix of pork and prawn.

Helipad Experience

In need to give ourselves a break after a whole lot of starters, the management took us to the helipad tour which is an added experience. The wind blowing your hair away, it is calm and soothing in both ways. It gives a 360º view of Bangalore with a spectacular view.

After our time at the helipad, we head towards the main course. A lot of options were available but I only went for the Kung Pao Chicken and Fish in Oyester Garlic Sauce along with some plain rice. The chicken was melting in the mouth and was delicious.

There were plethora of alternatives in desserts. I tried the Baklava as recommended by the chef and loved it. Furthermore, Custard caramel was perfectly made and lightly sweetened just how I like it.

High for sure keep up to my expectations and delivers top notch in terms of ambience, view, excellent service and a luscious meal.
